Lucy graduated from Liverpool Hope university then moved to Norway to work with a street and circus theatre company Stella Polaris where she discovered clown and the love of communicating with an audience without saying so many words.
Since returning to Scotland Lucy has worked as a workshop facilitator with Theatre Modo, Buckhaven youth theatre focusing on working with vulnerable communities and leading large scale projects. She has also been a regular artist in residence with Playcafe at Platform theatre in Glasgow.
In 2010 she joined the Hearts & Minds team and trained first as an Elderflower and then as Clowndoctor. She is now a Senior Practitioner, and works in Children's Hospitals, Hospices, Respite centres and Dementia Units across Scotland as her alter egos, Dotty Elderflower and Dr Beatz.
Lucy is currently working on new projects and finds great satisfaction on working with clown in creating new pieces of work in and around Scotland.
